LEVEL 10 DIFFICULTY! ~Changing Apple Earbuds Buttons To Key Inputs~

Hi Everyone,

I have a hard one this time. I am trying to change the "+" buttons on my Earbuds to "right_arrow" and the "-" to "left_arrow" and potentially the middle button to "button1" (left click) on my Macbook Air running OS Sierra 10.12.6.

I have tried using Karabiner-Event, although it doesn't seem to recognise the button inputs from the Earbuds at all. Maybe someone has coded an app or script already for this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome.

I highly doubt there is a way to program the Apple Headphone/EarPod buttons for any other use. Not something I have ever heard of.

I am intrigued by the reasoning...care to expand?
