Late 2013 IOS upgrade.

Hello, I have a late 2013 27" iMac and it won't let me update certain apps until I upgrade the iOS but no matter how I try, I can not upgrade to any of the more recent versions. I don't have the money to be able to purchase a new iMac so that is certainly out of the question. Is there any way that I can upgrade to any of the more recent versions past Catalina 10.15.7? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.
