Hey guys before you all sigh at my incompetance and look away just know im a teenager and i've had macs all my life - i'm pretty used to how they work i just need some help with a bit of troubleshooting...

Okay so i've got an imac and until recently i had a design keyboard with it (basically it had numbers at the side and stuff as well as at the top) anyway it recently died so i've replaced it with a mac bluetooth one (that doesn't have the numbers at the side) except theres a bit of a problem... basically the pictures on the F keys don't align with the shortcuts and i can't appear to change them through system preferences

any ideas thanks xx

This is correct, you have an older Mac with a New Keyboard.
You can't reallocate the built in hardware function keys.

Probably the best trick would be to permanently enable the Function Keys and remap those to do what some of the hardware buttons did. This may require AppleScript for the iTunes functions. Big jobs.
