Keyboard going crazy

I have a MacPro laptop, running OS 10.9.4. Last couple days the keyboard has been acting up. repeating letters, inserting new letters. But not all the time. Seems like its getting more frequent. What can I do to solve this issue?

Hello and welcome.

Normally, this type of issue is due to liquid spills/physical damage, but not always. Sometimes the Key Repeat and Delay Until Repeat settings in  > System Preferences... > Keyboard are set incorrectly.

-Is it a certain set of keys/section of the keyboard?
-Do any of them seem sticky/spongy/crunchy?
-Do you have an external USB keyboard you could use to see if the issue only happens on the built-in keyboard?
