Jumpy Screen

My MacBook Pro hit the floor in the RV when I had to make a sudden stop. The images on the screen are "jumpy" and double. I'm hoping there might be a "hard reset" like on the iPhone and iPad. The only thing I find for the laptop is a hard reset that, as I understand, will delete the files etc and bring it back to an "new, out of the box" state.

Trying to see if I can get it back to normal w/o bringing it in for service. Here's hoping..

I believe I have the latest Apple updates on it.

Hello,

-Does the MBP case show any damage?
-If the display is distorted, jumpy, and/or doubled, then it unfortunately sounds like some form of damage. I would get it checked out.
-There isn't an actual hard reset that will restore your MBP to factory defaults. There are a few key combination resets:

We took it to the Apple Store and they fixed if for free. Something jarred loose.

Ahhh, good news. That has been known to happen - a slight bump and the display cable comes a little loose.

Nice to hear they still do the right thing for folks.
