I work on a 20ins G4 iMac (the semi-sphere one) using OS 10.4.9.
For some 3/4 weeks the cursor has been randomly jumping/juddering up & down making it difficult to place it accurately, select exactly what I want, etc. & now it takes a number of goes to get the Dock to show itself by moving the cursor to the lower edge of the screen.
I use System Optimizer every couple of weeks to update prebindings; run maintenance scripts; repair permissions & clean system/application caches. Previously, this has visibly improved performance.
I have tried replacing the USB optical MacMice 'The Mouse' I normally use with an earlier USB trackball Kensington 'Orbit Elite' but have the same problem on screen.
Any suggestions on a solution will be VERY gratefully received as this is really reducing my working efficiency... in anticipation of which, V many thanks.
