Hi to all!
I have an Intel iMac 17inch with the usual HP printers, several external HDs, etc.
My Iomega 320HD died. The power unit was broken -- loose connector prongs (for the 120 VAC power.) Iomega sent me a new power unit, which I used.
Now the HD is not recognized on the desktop. The power light is on, the disk gets warm (not too warm) and hums -- I think the disk is rotating OK.
Here is what I have tried:
Disk Warrior -- cannot find the HD.
Drive Genius -- same
Disk Utility -- same
In single user mode: fsck -f -- can't find the disk.
Zap PRAM, reboot, all the usual stuff.
Any good ideas before I go back to Iomega?
Many thanks!
