Invisible text! I am trying to respond to an email and my typing is invisible unless I select All and change text to bold or italics. Some data too on some websites, but not all. Help!

Invisible text! I am trying to respond to an email and my typing is invisible unless I select All and change text to bold or italics. Some data too on some websites, but not all. Help!

You probably just need to clear the font cache in your system. You can do this with Terminal. The safest way is to reboot in Safe Mode, then launch Terminal.app (inside /Applications/Utilities) and enter this command:

sudo atsutil databases -remove

Enter you password and press return. Quit and restart.
