Internet just crashes everytime I try to search

I'm running a Mac-mini, G4, 1.25 GHZ.My problem is that within the last week I've lost my internet connectivity for some strange reason. I can get on the net and when I ceck my network status I'm all green to go, but the min. I click search, go ,login, etc........... the net just crashes and gives me errors stating that safari was unable to connect with hotmail, etc......... Which I find to be so strange, as I do travel with my mac everyday to work and I can plug in and search with no problems, and even when I come home and plug my ethernet in my HP I get connection like nothing. If anyone can give me a heads up that'll be great as I'm a designer and need my computer for business.

Maybe it's your internet? Call your provider and I'm sure they will be able to help you out.
