internet download problems - porn (Help Please)

Hi,

I have a macbook and am operating OSx 10.6.8...I use Safari

For years I've been able to download just about anything for the web. When I would open a file to download I would click on Safari's WINDOW...then ACTIVITY then the file would download on my desktop.

Now when I go through the same routine up pops a new "black page" with a player that simply plays the file on that page....I get no download to my mac.

I'm out of the country for a while so I recently I have stated to use BitTorrent and also downloaded VLC to play movies and TV shows. I think this "black page" downloading change happened right around when I installed those two programs.

Any help to get my porn to be able to download would be appreciated.
