Installing Windows on a Macbook Pro M1 with 16GBs of Ram

I'm thinking about buying a macbook pro m1 2021 with 16gbs of ram. I'd like to have Windows on my macbook for running some programs like office.
I have a few questions:

1. Is my only option for installing windows on macbook "Parallels"? Is it it possible that more options will be available in the future?
2. Are there any free options for running windows 11 on a macbook m1 pro?
3. Is 16gbs of Ram enough for running windows 11 and then running some applications on it? I don't want to use anything heavy. Just office maybe.
4. I had a friend who some years ago had a macbook. I remember she told me installing windows on macbook doesn't really work. Now that I think about it, maybe it was because her macbook was really weak. Is it safe to assume that the new macbooks with a lot of horsepower don't have problems running windows?
5. Is the battery life the same on macbook when you are using Windows on it?

Hello,

Unfortunately, Windows will not run on Apple Silicon-based Macs, as there isn't any x86 support. Boot Camp is not longer an option, and Parallels/VMware Fusion do run on M1 Macs, but do not support Windows VMs (other than a beta of Windows for ARM processors).

You could always just purchase Microsoft Office for Mac.
