My Imac (using Yosemite) has a daily problem. At 2.28 an installer kicks off and tries to launch. Over a period of five minutes it stops all my other software responding and from then on I can do nothing but - very slowly- restart, even after hours. Has anyone heard of this? Might it be something to do with Spotify - which I have uninstalled? All advice gratefully received, I've been 'suffering' from this for two years.
