iMessage

My partner is going on a holiday. I want to communicate via iMessage between a MacBook Air and iPhone. We have the same iCloud password. Is this possible?

Hello and welcome.

If you are both using the same iCloud account, you would be sending messages to "yourself". I suggest making your own free iCloud account. You can then message between the MBA and iPhone.
