I'm running 10.13.3 on a 2015 retina MBP.
Is there any way to remove the contact suggestions on iMessage on my mac? I deleted the contact from both my phone and mac (in contacts app) but whenever i start a new message and begin typing a name on my mac it still shows the deleted contact and all the previous ones that I deleted? For example "Zeigler Peter" has multiple numbers under that name but only one is correct. I want the other one (and other deleted contacts) to stop showing up

I already tried looking but most articles show how to do it on the phone but that's not an issue, only on the mac. Currently posting on every forum I find, Please look at picture for better idea.

Hello and welcome.

I deleted your duplicate post in the Mac OS X forum.

-Messages gets suggested contacts from your Contacts app, as you are aware
-It will suggest multiple number/emails for the same person, if they are included on a single contact card
-Are you using iCloud to sync contacts?
-Do you have other accounts added that may have the same person's contact info - i.e. Gmail, Exchange, etc.?
-Do you see the same contacts suggestions on any iOS devices you may have that are syncing with the same contact accounts?

Thank you for the welcome!

I checked my Contacts app, both iPhone and Mac. These contacts are not in there, I also checked iCloud and they're not there either. I checked my mail accounts and that is not an issue either. I only have my Mac and iPhone - same thing, the contacts are not there.

At this point I'm debating formatting my drive and starting fresh.
