iMac Buzzing

I recently bought a 2009 imac osx refurb. It has a rather irritating buzz when running. I have complained to the firm that bought it for me and he said it's normal. I can't accept this and he is going to replace a fan. Anyone out there had similar probs. Have a 9 year old imac and it's quiet.
I think this guy is trying to fob me off

It could be the fan, but it depends on what kind of buzzing you are hearing. It could also be the power supply or the LCD panel itself. It is definitely not normal. You could always take it to an Apple Store, if there is one close, to have full hardware diagnostics run on it.

Thanks for that cory, the firm I bought it from are going to replace 2 fans but he is telling me it's normal which is so insulting!

Agreed...it is not normal.

Did you get the fans replaced, and if so, is the issue resolved?
