iDVD very poor photo quality

The quality of the photos after burning a disk from iDVD 6 is unaccpetablely low. They are extremly grainy. The movement (ie. Ken Burns Effect) is haltered. I had much better results with iDVD 5 and even iDVD 4. I am baffled as to the downgardes product. Has it anything to do with Quick Time 7? This product claims higher definition. Anyone who has some suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong...and ways of corrrecting it, would be appreciated.
