I have an Imac and was working in text edit for a few days. Lots of work went into it. I clicked on command and the A key. It deleted my work. I went to history and also the trash and can't find my former work. I hope I can still get it back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome,

Try this open text edit >File>open recent.

It is odd as I thought that command+A selected all.

Command-A selects all, then you press another key and it replace all with the next keypress.

If you are on Lion or Mountain Lion
Hover your mouse over the the File Name on the Window Title Bar a small down arrow will appear
Click on that and from the Menu that pops up choose Browse All Versions...
This will take you into a TimeMachine like interface
Find the right version and Click restore
