How to recover deleted videos from iPhoto

Just a few minutes ago I deleted by accident the wrong videos from iPhoto. Is there a way to recover them? I'm new to using a Mac and the OS X operating system and when I look in the trash bin it appears to be empty.

Thanks for any help.

The Trash Icon is in the sidebar of iPhoto click on that and it will show the photos it has in its Trash.
Its the last entry in the RECENT section above WEB.
