I use a mini mac running OsX 10.5.8 with a 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo
with 1.25 GB 667 MGz DDR2 SDRAM. I use Safari to browse, but now I am
getting a request to update the browser what I cannot do because the
new version doesn't run in the OsX version and I can not update the
OsX in this machine. I understand that is good to keep the computer
updated, but since it is not possible to do so, can't I keep it
running the version I have without losing web pages formats ( Google
mail now only run in a html format ) or this is a "marketing" tool to
force me to buy a new computer? Is there any way to bypass this dirty
trick? See, I know this is an old machine, but it was able to fulfill
my needs until now. When I bought a car or any other home appliance i
can use forever. I just want to do the same with my beloved mac mini,
specially because nobody told me about that life limit at the time it
was sold.

Where is the request coming from? Given that Safari is an Apple product, one would think such a request would come from Apple. But, I am not aware of any reason why you can't keep running the version of Safari you have now, and just ignore the request.

By the way, I have a late 2012 Mac Mini, and I really am quite pleased with it, so I understand why you want to keep using it. What's also nostalgic about my setup is that I am using a Sony 19" monitor with it that I purchased in February 2004, and it still looks good!

OK, so that is from Google, regarding GMail. Well, it looks like the version of Safari you have is not "compatible" with GMail.
