I use a mini mac running OsX 10.5.8 with a 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo
with 1.25 GB 667 MGz DDR2 SDRAM. I use Safari to browse, but now I am
getting a request to update the browser what I cannot do because the
new version doesn't run in the OsX version and I can not update the
OsX in this machine. I understand that is good to keep the computer
updated, but since it is not possible to do so, can't I keep it
running the version I have without losing web pages formats ( Google
mail now only run in a html format ) or this is a "marketing" tool to
force me to buy a new computer? Is there any way to bypass this dirty
trick? See, I know this is an old machine, but it was able to fulfill
my needs until now. When I bought a car or any other home appliance i
can use forever. I just want to do the same with my beloved mac mini,
specially because nobody told me about that life limit at the time it
was sold.
