I have a number of pdf files containing text as an image, not a text, so there is no text search, nor text select/copy/paste possibility.
For each such file, the solution is :
- open the file with Preview
- store it as a .tiff file
- make an OCR on this file, with for example Abbey Finereader, which produces a .rtf file
- eventually store this new file as a pdf file, allowing this time text search and text select/copy/paste possibility.
I staarted to buiold an Automator process : i found the actions to select severral files (there are many to process), the action to make Preview open them, but I didn't find the action to "save as" under Preview.
The action "convert pdf to image" is not convenient, the image format has not to be indicated, apparently it creates one pdf file for each page.
