SOLVED How to block an email.

The simple solution is to write a rule.
Mail > Preferences > Rules > Add Rule
Select 'From' and 'Is equal to' then fill in the address you want to block.
In 'Perform the following actions' select 'Delete'
Catalina and Big Sur allow email blocking by opening an email from the offending address, click on the sender's name in the header and select block.
