I just purchased a new iPad Air running iOS 17.5.1 and set it up using my iPhone. The iPad now has all my iPhone apps on it, but none of the default apps that typically come with an iPad. How can I set it up to include the default built-in iPad apps?

It seems like the setup process transferred your iPhone's apps to the iPad but didn't include the default iPad apps. Here’s how you can get those default apps back on your new iPad Air:

Restore Default iPad Apps

  1. Check the App Store:
    • Open the App Store on your iPad.
    • Search for the default iPad apps you’re missing (like Files, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie, GarageBand, etc.).
    • Download and install these apps manually.
  2. Reset Home Screen Layout:
    • Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.
    • This will reset your home screen layout to the default setup, which includes all the built-in iPad apps. It won’t delete any apps but will rearrange your home screen to its default state.
Let me know if it helps.
