Lately, I've been having some issues with my AirPods not connecting properly. Before diving into any major troubleshooting, I figured I'd ask here: how do you reset them? I know there's a way to do it, but I want to make sure I'm doing it right. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey Veronica,

Resetting your AirPods is a great way to resolve connectivity issues. Here’s how you can do it correctly:

Steps to Reset AirPods (Any Model):

  1. Put AirPods in the Charging Case:
    • Place both AirPods in their charging case and close the lid.
  2. Wait 30 Seconds:
    • Keep the lid closed and wait for about 30 seconds.
  3. Open the Lid:
    • After 30 seconds, open the lid but leave the AirPods inside the case.
  4. Forget Device on iPhone/iPad:
    • On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
    • Find your AirPods in the list of devices and tap the i icon next to them.
    • Tap Forget This Device, and confirm.
  5. Reset AirPods:
    • With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds until the status light flashes amber, then white.
    • For AirPods Max, hold the noise control button and the Digital Crown until the LED flashes amber.
  6. Reconnect AirPods:
    • After resetting, close the lid and then reopen it near your iPhone or iPad.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect your AirPods.
Hope it helps.
