Facebook - "This page cannot be found"

This is a message that pops up on my Mac from Facebook around every 3 minutes, its driving me INSANE!!! It makes it own window which comes to the forefront of everything else, i dont even have to be connected to facebook for it to do it, its gotten progressively worse, could it be some sort of virus?
