This is a replacement for an Canon printer that died. I merely dragged the old printer folder to the trash. I fear that some thing from the old printer may still be hidden in my machine. How can I remove it?
You really don't need to remove every piece of software for the old printer. You can simply delete the old printer in System Preferences... > Printers & Scanners > click on the old printer in the list > click the (-) minus button > click Delete Printer. You can then install/setup the new printer.
I followed your instructions. In setup: it says Printer que cannot be found. when I press OK, it repeats. When i press Register printer (It is registered), I asks for Host name or IP address.
