My macbook is from '08, I haven't updated the software since then and I'm trying to download the new OS X Mountain Lion but I can't seem to get it to work, because it doesn't show that I have a software update available
Also if you are still on Leopard you will need to buy the SL OS X first then get to ML from there. I believe you can do this for $19.99 by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).
