Hey Lynn, it's not you. Since this morning when I awoke and put my iMac on, I have got the same message. All I got was a blank page with the Google sign on it and no Gmail icon which I found weird! I can't Google search, I can't check emails and I can't use You Tube. I also have a Macbook but it seems to be fine! And it also works off the same wireless router. It seems a few people right across the world are having problems accessing the whole Google site and various Google products.. I uninstalled mine straight away, so as soon as it returns properly I'm using a different server on my iMac. Google haven't responded at all to my emails, so its probably time to shift to another server once and for all. Google haven't even sent back a reply to me.

I suggest uploading a new server such as Firefox and Safari. That way you have optional servers to use other than Google Chrome.

Wondering where the two of you are located, as I have not been having any issues at all where I live, about 30 miles south of Seattle, Washington (God's country!). My ISP is Comcast, and everything is just fine. My normal browser is Google Chrome, but I just ran Firefox, and once again no issues. In fact, when visiting Youtube with Firefox, I typed "John Mellencamp" in the search box, and the next page was filled with "hits". Clicking on one of them (him live from Farm Aid 2015), I was able to watch him perform.

I really think it is something hiding in my Macbook Pro. Otherwise, my iPad wouldn't work with Google related sites either. Wisconsin by the way!

Maybe that could be the case. Myself, my Mac Mini and my MacBook Air work fine.

So...... this morning I wake up and everything is back to normal. Go figure. That was a waste of time yesterday trying to figure out what was wrong! Thanks for trying to help me.

I have seen this more frequently as of late, especially with Google Chrome. Make sure it is set to automatically update itself, which is the default.

Some suggestions when this happens:

-Make sure all software is up-to-date.
-Restart your Mac to see if that helps.
-Try repairing disk permissions using Disk Utility.
-It could be some work on Internet hardware (Comcast does this a lot) in your area and will resolve itself overnight.
-Power cycle your modem/router.
