Help with deleting a bookmark that wont delete!

Hi! I have just bought (on friday 12th Feb) a MacBook Pro OSX 13" (Processor 2.26GHz, intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 4GB 1067 MHz DDR). Under 'Popular' it seems to already have a bookmark for Amazon (I use Amazon a lot!), as well as ebay, Flickr etc. However this bookmark takes me to Amazon.com and when logged it it has none of my purchase history and everything is in $'s! ( I want Amazon.co.uk!) I deleted Amazon.com by opening bookmarks, open all bookmarks, highlighted Amazon.com, ctrl and click to delete...but it remains there!!! How do I remove it please, so I don't get confused ???
