Help wierd message when trying to download remote filing for work - or anything wont

HI ANYONE,

I have an Imac at home and have only worked on a PC at work I know how to use the IMAC but recently I get this weird message below and it wont let me download anything or open any attachements I am trying to download remote desktop so I can work from home can anyone PLEASE help me what is up and what does below mean??? ugghgh!!!

Downloading /Users/kristiadams/Desktop/5PEj3n9e.exe.part/Users/kristiadams/Desktop/5PEj3n9e.exe.part could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder. Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location.

The .exe file extension means you're downloading a PC file. It will not open on a Mac. Try this link for a Mac version of remote desktop:
