Help: Previously Saved Word document just disappeared!

Hello,

I have been working on an essay for a couple of days that I had repeatedly saved on the Desktop. But then it just disappeared. When I go to Previously viewed documents in Word it only shows up as a blank space and word says it cannot open it (see screenshot).
I have been checking everywhere but cannot find it. I made all invisible files visible but nothing. Nothing in backups. I went to the Utility Disk and repaired but nothing. Can you help me please! I really really need to get the document back.
