Help! little gray boxes with numbers on my MacBook screen

Hi please help
I have little gray boxes with numbers all over my Macbook screen, on every page, along the menus, and next to every item.
they disappear when I hold the command button but reappear when I let go.
I tried restarting my computer and shutting it down.
and uploaded the latest 15.1.1
but they are still there
Does anyone know how to get rid of them?

Hello and welcome.

That is an Accessibility feature called Voice Control. To turn it off:
 > Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control > Overlay > Item Numbers > click and Choose None
 > Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control > slide toggle to Off position.
