Help. My iMAC is running MAC OS 10.13.16, High Sierra. When I cleaned my old keyboard, older than my iMAC, I lost the monitor screen's dock. Yes, I stupidly did not first disconnect the keyboard from the MAC because I could not see the back of the computer to reconnect it after I was finished. OK, my bad. But how do I get it back? It's hiding behind the left edge of the screen. I can get it to appear for a sec., and it disappears as soon as my cursor moves to select an app in the dock. It will not remain. Also all pull down menus will show the options, but will not stay open for me to select one. Restarting did not solve the problem. Any suggestions? I assume that it is one of the F keys that I hit.
Thank you, Germaine

It sounds like you turned on Auto Hide on the dock. You can turn it off in your System Preferences by going to the Dock Preference Pane and unchecking the box as shown below.
