Help copying photos from mail to hd

How do I copy photos from email to the hard disk? I am sure I have done it before.

I select a photo and drag it to a location in finder but get an icon indicating it is a document, not a photo?

You are not selecting the Photo, but a section of the email.

Just click on the photo once, then click on it and drag.

or choose Save from the menu in the email. This depends on the version of Mail.

or Right Click on the Photo and choose Save...
