Help campers stold my photographs folder from my hard drive

With the yosemite install I no longer photograph folder on my boot drive. Did they change the name to something woodsey or just decide my photos don't matter in the interests of corporate progress........ which is no longer a sustainable concept and needs to go in the buggy whips folder.
