Headless MacBook Air M1 Issue

I’ve been running a ‘headless’ MacBook Air for some months, but since updating to the latest OS and erasing the hard drive in readiness to sell, it is no longer recognized by the monitor that I’ve previously been using.

Any suggestions on what might have happened, as I can’t see the signal that the MBA is transmitting and am therefore unable to determine what the problem is. I still get the start up chime and I have reset PRAM & SMC.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

but since updating to the latest OS and erasing the hard drive in readiness to sell, it is no longer recognized by the monitor that I’ve previously been using.

Not that this is helpful but it definatly sounds like it now thinks there is an internal display for some reason.
