Hello, I just installed a new hard drive in my computer and am experiencing a very weird problem. Everything works fine for a bit but after a few minutes all saving seems to shut down. I can't move anything to the trash (error -50) I can't save any files, any changes I make to the dock are reverted if I reset. I can't even do a screen capture because it says I don't have permissions to save to my desktop. But then if I reset everything is fine again for a little bit. I've tried reformatting my hard drive, repairing permissions, scanning for viruses, etc. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I have a macbook pro from 2010, original specs except the new hard drive, running snow leopard.

I'd say the Harddrive is not installed correctly.

Did you get it done by a Certified Apple Technician?

No, I did it myself. Didn't realize there was anything more to it than just plugging it in and formatting it.
