My name is Febian and just wanted to introduce myself. I've just purchased a mid 2012 MBP and will use it exclusively for Serato DJ and Traktor. In the process of upgrading to 16mb of ram and 250gb of ssd to replace my stock hhd. Any suggestions or warnings would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

-If your MBP is a Retina model, the RAM isn't upgradeable.
-Make sure you purchase the correct RAM for your model - 8 GB is official Mac, 16 GB is unofficial.
-Which brands/models of SSD are you considering?
-Are you going to store your music on an external drive?

I have a non retina Mid 2012 MBP. Upgrading to pair of Crucial 8GB for total of 16gb and a Adata 250gb SSD.

What do you think about the SuperDrive for HD swap so I can store my music internally?

I agree with honestone...those adapters do work, but some have had reliability issues. An external drive is the way to go.
