I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.3 but google chrome no longer supports my browser.
If I upgrade to OS X 10.10 will that version allow me to use Chrome for a few years before changing computers again?

On the download page it says "For Mac OS X 10.9 or later" so upgrading to OS X 10.10 should allow you to use it, However who knows how long before the minimum requirements will change.

I guess it's time to upgrade to new version, just check if it's compatible with your Mac.
According to Apple, the official compatible hardware list of Macs capable of running Mac OS Sierra 10.12 is as follows:

  • MacBook Pro (2010 and later)
  • MacBook Air (2010 and later)
  • Mac Mini (2010 and later)
  • Mac Pro (2010 and later)
  • MacBook (Late 2009 and later)
  • iMac (Late 2009 and later)
