I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.3 but google chrome no longer supports my browser.
If I upgrade to OS X 10.10 will that version allow me to use Chrome for a few years before changing computers again?
On the download page it says "For Mac OS X 10.9 or later" so upgrading to OS X 10.10 should allow you to use it, However who knows how long before the minimum requirements will change.
What exact Mac model do you have? And why are you still using OS 10.6.3? Actually, Snow Leopard's last version number was/is OS 10.6.8. You can get the OS 10.6.8 Combo Updater from here:
I guess it's time to upgrade to new version, just check if it's compatible with your Mac.
