Good to work for long time on 100% battery power?

Whilst I am using my MacBook Pro, I have been letting it charge full and then using it while it drops in power. Sometimes I let it get really really low before I plug the power back in and allow it to drift back up to 100%.

My question is this; once it is back up to 100% is it okay for the thing to just keep running on that? I mean, am I devaluing the power of my battery by leaving it on 100% power for long periods of time whilst I use it? It doesn't seem to be doing any "damage" right now, but I am thinking long term?

Hi there,

there is another thread around here somewhere discussing battery power...and it seems the best plan is to keep the charger plugged in...whenever possible.

This will cutdown the number of times the battery gets charged, and prolong it's life.

Only run on battery when neccesary, ie away from sockets !

regards

Ric
