Getting imported outlook data into the correct mac account

I have an imac with mountain lion. I have used migration assistant to successfully import calender, mail and contacts from XP/Outlook, however they are put into a new mac account set up as part of the migration process.I want to move them from that account to my main one, but can't find a way to do it. I have tried export & import using a cd, but the imports do not recognize the files (shows blank despite them being there).

So that "windows method" doesn't work what does?

Spent a couple of hours around help etc. but cannot find a solution.

HELP PLEASE?
