Getting corrupted downloads of Jpeg's. wondering why.

i right click on a screen image and save to disk, (well my iMac M1 silicon chip) and this is what i end up when opened in Photoshop. only happens about 10% of the time... the on screen file icon is a generic jpeg icon. not an image preview.

rather infuriating. strange but when i put them in the trash, the icon looks alright.

if the image is larger, then they almost always are perfect.
