G4 PowerBook 1.25 OSX Tiger install help

I've just purchased a BlackMacBook, started using tiger and its seems nice.

My Problem is I would like to see if my old powerbook runs nicer on Tiger. So im ready to format the hard disk and start it up again in tiger.

To do this I have put the Osx restore disk in, the one I got with my new macbook(1month ago). But my powerbook freezes when from booting it. I get an error message, in some code, over the large you need to restart your computer icon.
Can I use the OSX cd1 disk to instal tiger on my old G4 1.25?

Hi there and welcome !

I'm sorry but the MacBook disk is not compatible with your old G4.

You would need to buy the retail version for PowerPC Mac's.
