Hi,
I have resources now that I likely won't have in ten years.
SO. Which has best longevity?
Two choices:
-The M4pro chip 24GB Macbook Pro (MX2T3LL/A)
-The M3pro chip 18GB Macbook Pro (MRW13LL/A)
My Three questions:
1 The M4pro chip computer is newer and I am always cautious about buying the newest computer before all the bugs/problems have been found/corrected. Is this wise vigilance? Thoughts?
2 Has anyone reading this worked with both these machines and noticed one is better, more solid, less glitchy? (I've had lemons and I've been told by apple techs that there are lemon years)
3 Do people think the difference between 24GB and 18GB RAM will make a big difference 5 - 10 years in the future?
I need a machine that will last 5 to 10 years ahead -- with Applecare alongside throughout.
Also wanting one that can be repaired (my understanding is that MBAirs are not repairable)
I'm not a gamer nor a graphics/video person. I tend to keep too many windows open and I want to be able to write research documents with many windows open (for source texts, bibliography, body of the writing) and attached additional external monitors, for easier citation and sourcing while writing.
