Older user here with rather limited computer literacy. I recently bought a new Macbook Air, but my favorite screen capture, Capture Me (German, if I remember correctly) which I run on my old MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5 is not compatible with OS Sierra 10.12, . I like it because I can adjust the the size of the window precisely before clicking to make the capture, and it's really handy for sizing jpegs. The built-in takes its shot the instant I let up on the click, which doesn't allow precise framing. I really miss that fluidity of use on my old app. Any ideas about compatible freeware out there that can provide the features I describe? Thanks.

There is a nice freeware Dashboard widget that I use: Screenshot Plus. It has worked flawlessly for years with every iteration of Mac OS X.
