HELP!

I dont know how, but somehow I have managed to disconnect Finder, and every time I click the Finder Icon I get an error message saying Finder not Found and some numbers!

I dont want to have to admit to IT that I have somehow stuffed my computer up - can anyone advise how to reconnect Finder?

Thank you! x

Hi,

This is only my personal opinion. But your Finder icon is very special, it always stays at the end of the dock and you cannot move or remove it.
All to do with finder are within the in the core of Mac OS X, so I would bite the bullet and speak to the IT guy.
If you were extremely adventurers then you could Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices and look for finder then right click to check that the package content is all ok.

But really get the IT guy

This message is crucial in understanding your particular issue and just googling the exact phrasing of the error can sometimes bring up a lot of helpful info as you can be sure of one thing and that is somebody at one time has gone online looking for the exact same answer so there might be a whole range of tips and solutions, some might not work and there might just be one that does.

Never underestimate the importance that that error message when you come looking for advice as it is your Macs issue in a nutshell.
