hi all,
I am working on a MacBook Pro, running Mac OS X, version 10.4.11 I recently updated the version of the OS, and since then I cannot open my home directory from the Finder. Every time I try to do so (ie, click on it), I get the message
"there is no default application to open the document"
I did "get Info" on the home directory, and I noticed the "Kind" field is set to "package", not to "folder" (as I suspect it should be set to).
I can navigate on my home with a terminal. I also checked my home directory permissions, and they seem to be OK (drwxr-xr-x). It is however a very annoying situation, as some applications won't let me navigate inside my home directory, when I try to open a file through their GUI.
Does anybody has a hint about what is going on? Thanks a lot!!!!
Luis
