Installed Plex so I can show photos on TV
It gets to Browse for Media Folder and points to various MAC files none of which are the iPhotos
How do I populate the Plex library with my photos?
It's looking for some filename directory string

Where are your photos stored on your Mac?

If they are in iPhoto then Plex might not be able to see them.

That's interesting because Plex has an app for the MAC which I downloaded & installed. So the Plex app for the MAC doesn't do anything?

iPhoto keeps it's library pretty well out of sight, it's library folder hierarchy is not browsable so you might need to export some photos out of iPhoto to a newly created folder on your Desktop then see if the Plex browser can 'see' them . ..

Hello and welcome.

I don't think it is a problem with Plex per se. When Apple released the Photos app, it seems that they may have also changed the way other apps can access the library. One or both may address the issue with an update in the future, but Spawn_Dooley's suggestion might be the best solution for now.
