Find Finder Items not selecting files that match dates

When I select "Date Last Opened Today" it will pull up the correct files. But if I select "Date Last Opened is in the last 5 days" it will not pull up the correct files? And files that are listed at opened yesterday will not pull up at all? I've tried all different combinations but can't find one that works. Any suggestions?

I find Date Last Opened to be intermittent and use Date last modified.

you can change it to that by clicking the Arrange button in the Finder window toolbar

I really need to know when the file was downloaded but the Date Modified keeps the date it was actually changed which could be years ago. Date Added would be perfect but that is not an option in Automator.

Sorry, I missed that this was in the Automator section.

But even in Finder "Date Last Opened" is unpredictable so I guess it's no surprise Automator is also choking.
