File Transfer Problems

Hi all, I am attempting to copy a ~8 gb file to my strontium 32 gb usb on Macbook, with osx 10.6.4, however when I try and copy the file it gives me an error message saying 'could not copy file error (0)". If anyone knows why this is happening and can offer a solution, to fix it, that would be great. Thanks.

If the USB stick is formatted to Windows FAT then it cant have files that large.
