SOLVED FB Messenger no longer SAVES PHOTOS to my camera roll on iPhone

When I receive a photo or video, I used to be able to click "Save" and it would appear in my photos on my phone. Suddenly, it just stopped and I get an error message, "Cannot Save Photo". This just started a couple weeks ago.

I have checked a number of things not limited to but including: Memory of photo /camera roll; memory of iCloud; setting on iPhone and Messenger... Have discussed with sender of photos...in case something got changed on that end...nothing there.

I have iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 14.2

Yes...had updated iPhone OS. Needed to change some settings in it.
